Without further instruction (and going with my instincts) I started chopping away....this is my interpretation of a 'bowl' cut...it was kind of an accidental style I settled on because I didn't have any idea how to fade gradually.

At the time, I had the nerve to be insulted. It didn't look that bad did it.....? Upon reflection, I realize she had a point. But luckily a two year old isn't going to hold the trial and error process against you.
I'm also leaving out the DRAMA.......the itchy complaints and misery...."ouuuuuch, ouuuuch, the clippers are hurting me.......and I'm soooooo itttttccchyyyyyy!
It only took seven years, but we've had a breakthrough.
Not only have I sorta mastered the fade......but no crying or screaming too...? I've got a happy customer at last! Now maybe Mark will let me touch him up....

You are so funny!!!
Jaxon is a full supporter of the homemade haircut. Obvously- he has been doing it himself for years. The only drama we've experianced was when he took it upon himself to give Korbin his First haircut WITHOUT ME!! He just leaned him over the sink and buzzed away I was more than annoyed but he DID take pictures so I wouldnt be too mad!! Your doing a great job Ive never seen Max and wondered if his head got caught in a pencil sharpner!!
PS I do think people look at me and wonder if Ive given myself a homemade haircut though!!
Max is one handsome kid! I love his haircut!
Don't worry about it! The first haircut I gave your brother was terrible! My mom had to shave his head to fix it:) Eight years later Mike looks much better!
The first time I got brave and tried to cut Ethan's hair I buzzed it was to short and he looked like he was on Chemo! I felt so bad and he still hasn't forgotten it. We pay the $10 every month or so just to make sure there isn't a repeat. It may take years before I get to try my hand at boys haircuts again! So, I would say you are doing great. Maybe I will just send my boys your way from now on!
